Trading Journal — Track, Measure, Improve
Free trading journal: log every trade and see your win rate, profit factor, drawdown and plan adherence, plus a coach that reads your stats.
What to do with the data
Numbers alone don't make you better. Here's how experienced traders turn a journal into an edge.
01
Find what actually pays you
Sort your results by instrument and day of week. If one pair or one session consistently loses, trade it less — or not at all. Let the numbers choose your focus, not habit.
02
Fix discipline before strategy
Compare trades where you followed your plan against trades where you broke it. If broken-plan trades lose, your strategy is fine — your execution is the leak. Tighten the rules around entry timing.
03
Watch the drawdown, not just the wins
Max drawdown tells you how much pain your strategy can inflict. Size your positions so your worst historical dip is survivable — and so you can keep taking the next valid setup.
04
Review on a schedule
Look at your stats every 20–50 trades, not after every trade. Single results are noise; patterns across dozens of trades are signal. Ask the coach below to help you read them.
Ask your journal anything
The coach reads your stats — never your account — and helps you spot the patterns worth acting on.

Try asking: "Which instrument is costing me money?" or "What happens when I break my plan?"
